The Sindh Government has expanded its Solar Panel Scheme 2026 to help low-income families reduce electricity costs and get access to clean energy solutions. Thousands of households across Sindh are expected to benefit from the latest solar initiative.

According to the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP), the program aims to provide solar systems to eligible families living in rural, semi-urban, and electricity-deficient areas across the province.

Officials say around 200,000 solar home systems are planned under the project, while the government is covering a major portion of installation costs to make solar energy affordable for deserving families.

Under the latest eligibility criteria, applicants must be permanent residents of Sindh, possess a valid CNIC, and generally consume less than 100 electricity units per month. Families who previously received government solar systems may not qualify again.

The Sindh Solar Scheme also focuses on helping households affected by load shedding and unstable electricity supply. The project is expected to improve energy access in remote and underserved areas.

Applicants can check eligibility by sending their CNIC number through the official SMS verification service. Eligible families receive confirmation and further registration guidance.

For registration, applicants may need to submit documents including CNIC copy, electricity bill, proof of residence, photographs, and verification forms through the designated Sindh Energy Department process.

Officials have advised citizens to use only official Sindh Energy Department channels and avoid fake registration websites or unauthorized agents demanding money for approvals.
