Legal Advisor Responsibilities

Selected candidates will perform a range of legal duties, including:

• Assisting the Directorate of Law & Prosecution Customs Karachi and Customs Collectorates in legal submissions.
• Representing the department in appellate forums where required.
• Conducting legal research on complex customs matters.
• Reviewing notices, replies, and court orders.
• Supporting Customs officials in litigation and legal risk management.
• Preparing periodic reports on legal proceedings and their outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have an LL.B degree from a recognized university.

Applicants should also have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in the High Court, preferably in customs law.

Salary and Contract

The Legal Advisors will be hired on a full-time contractual basis.

The monthly remuneration will be in the range of PKR 300,000, depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

The final remuneration will be determined by FBR in consultation with the Selection Committee.

The initial engagement will be for one year, which may be extended by the concerned Directorate based on performance and requirements.
