The Federal Government has officially declared public holidays on June 25 and June 26, 2026, for the observance of Ashura. The announcement was made through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division.

The two-day holiday will be observed throughout Pakistan, allowing citizens to participate in Muharram processions, religious gatherings, and other commemorative activities.
